Some Quirky things:
- I talk like Donald Duck and speak sarcasm fluently.
- I’ve maintained an obsession with unicorns since I was a little girl. Not much changed here. It’s now the logo for our Radio show, Queens of Climax.
- I thought I could find happiness by moving to Newport beach. Then Hollywood. Then Santa Monica. Then out of a backpack. In Brazil? Thailand? India? Bali? Ok UNCLE!…I finally realized happiness is a state of mind, not in a state. While California is a beautiful one, it doesn’t guarantee ‘happy’.
- I learned my love for leading when I was co-captain of the WPSL team, FC Sacramento Pride, a semi-professional soccer league in Cali. My teammates were US Women’s National Team Players, Megan Rapinoe, and Stephanie Cox, and earned USA 2nd Team All Stars for Defense Performance.
- I was raised on a Mac N Cheese and Canned food diet. I didn’t grow up nutritious nor did I study nutrition in college. But it became my hobby. I knew I wanted to own my own business one day, so I graduated Deans Honors, with a BS in Business Finance from University of the Pacific, where I was recruited to play D1 soccer.
- I’ll use my financial saving skills to help you make healthy not only easy but affordable. I started a financial planning practice in 2002 and sold it 7 years later to move to sunny Southern Cali.
- I’ve competed in 8 bodybuilding competitions, Figure Class, placing top 5 in all but one of them. I won overall in both of my divisions, with zero prep, but unlimited enthusiasm.
- My favorite app is the one that makes fart noises. C’mon. You know that’s funny!
- When I couldn’t stand my racing accutane online mind, I decided to become a yoga teacher. I still teach to this day and meditate regularly. Best decision of my life!
- On my last family visit to Sacramento, I accidentally drank a dead centipede, while trying to enjoy my morning protein shake from a not regularly used cup from my parents’ cupboard. Talk about spitting legs! ALWAYS LOOK IN YOUR CUP & shoes!
- I suspected I had thyroid problems since I was 17. After years of ‘normal’ tests, I self-medicated my depression with a party girl lifestyle. Well, that didn’t work. Years later, after having studied to become a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist, I discovered Hashimoto's Hypothyroid through my own labs. I set forth on a quest to understand everything about autoimmune disease, and how to reverse it and did just that. Proud to be, Medication free.
- I took Accutane and birth control to control my cystic acne. Gosh, I wish I would have discovered this site when I was 17 and clueless yet desperate.
- My favorite essential oil is grapefruit. It smells amazing, refreshing and supports skin glow. Cellulite, be gone!
- Pick a board sport. I love snow and wake most. Let’s RIDE!
- While I may seem bubbly and expressive, I prefer an introverted lifestyle, with the space to think, write and create. I secretly think I can ‘save the world’, starting with women who want more for themselves.
- Bebe, Lululemon, Cat eye frames, colorful nails, and either salsa shoes or cowgirl boots make up this diverse warriors persona.
- I’m learning to play the guitar and think I sound like Cheryl Crow. Or wait…was it, I look like Cheryl? Who cares? Just be-YOU-tiful! Rock on with your creative expressions, my soul sistas!
